Cheyanne Lewis is a Junior Specialist at the University of California Davis in the lab of Dr. Theanne Griffith. Cheyanne researches the molecular mechanisms underlying thermal sensation and how disease affects ion channel function in thermosensitive sensory neurons. Cheyanne is an aspiring medical writer to is passionate about neuroscience, science communication, and mental health advocacy. Ultimately, she hopes to become a mentor for future generations of underrepresented scientists.
